Maybe We Need to Step Back

(Before It's News)

If you haven’t noticed in all the pandering that is coming from everyone on this website regarding the bible and “god” no one is EVER right.

People for decades have been telling the world that “god” talked to them and told them when things were going to “happen”. When in actual fact NOTHING happens.

People write articles on this site that state that “lucifer” or “satan” or the boogeyman is doing this and that and luciferian followers are pushing their agenda. But in fact so are you pushing an agenda.

I get tired of reading articles that start out with basic facts and then move into the world of make believe and somehow tie a piece of scripture to make the sheep of the world jump onto a band wagon that may or may not exist.

Many people complain about the way the homosexuals, muslims or government or the pope or whomever behave but if you look at all the articles available online they all have one thing in common: bigotry, racism, sexism, hate. there is no acceptance of people in the grand scheme of things. Everything boils down to one thing: They’re wrong and “we’re” right.

Let’s take the LGBTQ group of people, all they are asking is to be treated with respect as they are expected to treat heterosexuals. However, they are insulted, denied service in establishments, told they shouldn’t be allowed to have the same rights as “us”. Who says?!?! Does god? If so, then let him take care of it, it is not our place to decide what punishement is necessary. IF he exists then he can take care of that himself, it isn’t up to us (glass houses and all that).

The bible has made it abundantly clear that women DO NOT deserve rights, in the church or otherwise. Women are placed on earth to obey man. Simply writing this makes me cringe as that is COMPLETELY absurd; women are just as human as men are and should be able to do whatever they want. But since it is pretty clearly written in the bible as a womans’ role, then aren’t we already on a slippery slope to the proverbial hotspot because “god” didn’t intend women to have rights. However if you tell that to anyone with any degree of conviction in your voice you’ll be touted a sexist or mysogynist.

But the irony is I see in the newspapers and media (alternative or otherwise) the hate and bigotry towards people that aren’t exactly like us. Decades ago it was acceptable to make anyone that wasn’t white to sit at the back of the bus, native people were forcibly removed from their homes and forced to change their names to a more “white” appropriate names (so we can feel more comfortable). But gay people are satanic and abominations under “god” which has made them public enemy number one to everyone else. Is this fair? If organized religion is based on what the bible says shouldn’t we be following it to the letter?

Perhaps the chatising or punishments should be left to the individual that told a man to write them down? Why are we so bound and determined to force people into a belief structure that may not fit their lives. I don’t mean just people that are gay I mean everyone… people that are tattooed, pierced (yes even a single set of earrings) should be chastised.

I read an article the other day talking about a little boy that made a briefcase clock and the writer spent the entire article pointing out that he is muslim. Why should this be pertinent to the article? Isn’t he a boy? Doesn’t he just want adult approval and love? Doesn’t he just want to play like everyone else? No, the reason that that was mentioned is because Muslims are bad people; so with that in mind shouldn’t we also stereotype that if the little boy was a devout catholic he will probably be a pedophile and if he was a devout protestant he is part of the KKK or neo nazi group because the protestants created and maintained slavery and racism? Obviously people can read this and think I am “trolling” but in actual fact I am trying to remind everyone that if we take organized religion at face value then we need to rewrite so much that has happened.

We would have to remove all the impressive jumps we’ve made as far as acceptance and equality is concerned.  The one thing I am told time and time again is god is one of love and acceptance if you give yourself to him. But somehow in the mix of learning that we have decided to name everyone we disagree with as the anti-christ or anti-christian. Is this fair? Is this right? If you watch different correspondents on Fox TV they will run guests into the ground because they say the guest isn’t christian or is undermining christian values and will get VERY combative if they hear something that doesn’t “jive” with their agenda. I am sure that I will receive many comments stating that the commenter isn’t like the Fox news employees and Fox et al are an extreme version of their belief structure.

This isn’t completely the truth because the only difference is the people that write things like that aren’t saying it to anyone personally, they are hiding behind a computer screen. In the bible is says that if you look at someone lustfully and don’t act on it you still acted out the lustful thought in your mind so it is a sin nevertheless.  So even though you aren’t standing on a street corner saying all homos are bad or yelling from the rooftops that they don’t deserve what “we” have is crazy. This isn’t our place, a marriage license is something that is administered by our local city hall which means that religion has no control over it. People have stated for years that government and religion should be separate but there seems to be a proviso in the marriage idea, and that’s when religious people demand that the government does what they say is “right”.

Ah, but I digress

Can’t we learn to love and understand that one thing doesn’t work for everyone, in addition to that can’t we understand that our interpretation of what is absorbed from a series of events doesn’t actually make it so, as well as factual? Perhaps if we want to see the smoking gun we will simply apply things to our already pre-determined opinion.

Just saying…. anyway.

  • Man, the first 4 paragraphs? I completely agree. I’ve noticed that off-hand and I haven’t even been a member of this site very long. The BIN website in general is jam-packed with fear-mongering articles about events that NEVER HAPPEN. The boy cried wolf on a global scale, several times, LMAO
