1888PressRelease – The Second Annual Wine Festival benefiting St. Pius X Catholic Church’s building fund will be held on Saturday, April 29, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 14107 Lyons Valley Road, Jamul, CA 91935. The ticket price includes wine tasting, appetizers, a souvenir wine glass and complimentary soda, coffee and water.

 

SAN DIEGO,- Fantastic local wines, great food and live entertainment will be just a few of the highlights of the second annual Wine Festival benefiting St. Pius X Catholic Church’s building fund. On Saturday, April 29, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., wine lovers will enter the event grounds in Jamul, Calif. and begin tasting wines from the following participating wineries:

 

• Campo Creek Vineyards

• Casi Cielo Farms & Winery

• Deerhorn Valley Vineyards

• Dulzura Vineyard and Winery

• Granite Lion Cellars

• Maness Vineyard

• Spanish Peacock Winery

• Vineyard Hacienda

• Westfall Winery

 

“This is a very local San Diego event and all of the participating wineries are located in San Diego’s East County along Highway 94 and surrounding areas,” said Gary Gorton, wine-tasting/community coordinator for St. Pius X. “In addition to sampling new and familiar wines, guests will enjoy appetizer stations, live entertainment, opportunity drawings, vendor booths and much more.”

 

To help encourage people to explore local San Diego wineries, participating wineries will give guests certificates for future complimentary wine tastings at their actual wineries.

 

Gorton added, “Last year’s event raised more than $10,000 for the St. Pius X Catholic Church’s building fund. The proceeds are earmarked for support of youth and much-needed classrooms.”

 

The event is open to the public (21 years of age and up). It will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 14107 Lyons Valley Road, Jamul, CA 91935.
