Report: World faces ‘insurmountable’ water crises by 2040. The world will face “insurmountable” water crises in less than three decades, researchers said Tuesday, if it does not move away from water-intensive power production.

 

UCLA-area water main break spews millions of gallons. The trunk line break offered dramatic new evidence of Los Angeles’ crumbling water infrastructure, which has been a recurring problem for years. Large sections of the water system are old and corroded, and the city has struggled to find the money to replace them.
