(Before It's News)

UN: Expect 11.2 billion population by the end of the century. Move over: The world’s population is expected to reach 8.5 billion by 2030 and 9.7 billion in 2050, a new United Nations report says. And there should be 11.2 billion people on Earth by the end of this century. [collapse will occur long before that]

China: As water demands grow sharply, supply is shrinking. China has 20 percent of the world’s population, and 7 percent of its fresh water. As pressure mounts, officials are pushing conservation reforms such as reforestation and water taxes – and diverting water from the south to the north.

Alarm over ‘timber grab’ from Cambodia’s protected forests. Ancient, highly valuable forests are being lost at an “unprecedented” rate from protected lands in Cambodia, according to a new report.
