How Big Water is trying to stop the National Park Service from cleaning up plastic bottles that are fouling the parks. Big Water has stepped in to block the parks from banning the plastic pollutants — and the industry found an ally on Capitol Hill.

 

Water demand to increase 55 percent globally by 2050. Global water demand is projected to rise by 55 percent between 2000 and 2050, cited the Global Water Forum, while nearly 1 billion people in the developing regions still have no access to clean and safe water.

 

GOP subpoenas Obama regulatory officials on water rule. House Republicans moved Tuesday to force the Obama administration to disclose certain documents related to the development of the Environmental Protection Agency’s major water jurisdiction rule.
