If you’ve been receiving or reading our alerts for the past few months or longer, you know that we’ve been providing you with some in depth information regarding Delta Dental: their motives and vested interests, their board members (and their earnings), their corporate profits, and the many, many names under which they file federal taxes. As always, we provide factual evidence and links to back up our statements. This is another lengthy article, but it is packed full of important documentation that supports our views about Delta Dental and organizations with which they are affiliated. In this particular alert, we will show you that Delta Dental insurance may be a bad investment (and possibly a scam) and that several of Delta Dental’s customers are not happy and even appear to have been misled. We will also provide links to Delta Dental’s IRS corporate filings as well as to grants they receive and the organizations which give them. First, however, we will remind you of some conflicts of interest between Delta Dental (corporate agenda) and the Arkansas Department of Health (governmental enforcement). Some of this conflict of interest is connected through the Arkansas Department of Health and their establishment of the Arkansas_Oral_Health_Coalition, a 501(c)3, voluntary, not-for-profit organization. Why can a government unit establish a not-for-profit organization??? If you check any of the IRS tax filings for these 501(c)3 organizations, most of the funds are depleted within the organization with super high compensations to the officers. Thus, very little money, if any, is left over for which the money was intended. (BEWARE OF ALL 501(c)3 ORGANIZATIONS until you check them out for yourself). These 501(c)3 organizations are nothing more than intermediate units that state appropriations are run through with no control of the expenses. We think the whole system is suspect and needs investigated by the FBI. These appear to be get-rich-quick schemes for the CEO’s with no unemployment to worry about! One of the 48 members of Oral Health Coalition is the Office of Governor. (Do you think that the governor’s membership on the Oral Health Coalition could be the reason why the governor is ignoring the wishes of the people to block the water fluoridation mandate?)
Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson Governor, could you please call for an investigation for the following issues?
Please do not turn your head and ignore these problems, Governor Hutchinson. Delta Dental Plan of Arkansas, Delta Dental Foundation of Arkansas, and Community Health Centers of Arkansas are also members of this coalition along with many other organizations. Several of the members of this coalition received large grants from Delta Dental Foundation of Arkansas and also provided testimony in support of the Fluoride Mandate Bill SB359. Click on the Arkansas Oral Health Coalition (hyperlinked above) to see the rest of the members. Click_here to view the bylaws of Arkansas Oral Health Coalition and how they operate. Click here to see the Arkansas Oral Health Plan 2012-2015. Keep in mind that much of the data quoted in the Arkansas Oral Health Plan is using junk science with no current science supporting their claim. Our intent, as always, is to educate you, the reader, and to foster your interests in educating yourselves, following the money trail, and not simply taking what is said (especially by state-run organizations and the mainstream media) on face value. As we mentioned in our previous article, the fluoride mandate is a perfect example of both governmental power and corporate control working hand-in-hand to deal with the general public and dump their toxic poison on us. We cannot afford to forget that government is a FOR-PROFIT operation. (After all, the government has invested in many top corporations.) It is government that tells us we are forced to drink the poison fluoridated tap water. Lead doesn’t come from the leaching of lead pipes alone. Lead, aluminum, arsenic, mercury, just to name a few, are in the nasty, raw fluoride product (the catalyst that is relative to the other elements) that is added to your drinking everyday! Government does not have time for public service, and it is NOT protecting us! Hello?! Government is not holding corporations back; instead, it keeps hurling their favored corporations forward. Government promotes the corporate agenda and has law making authority to enforce deadly policies! Think about this: why is government forcing fluoridation on us? Some sources claim that Delta Dental is almost single-handedly responsible for creating the dental insurance industry back in the 1960s, when they began partnering with labor unions, military and government organizations, and private corporations, in order to offer dental coverage plans. However, Secure Arkansas has done some research and found that this is misleading. (You can read the true history here.) Since Secure Arkansas is talking so much about Delta Dental and their fluoridation agenda, we thought you might like to read a little bit about their history according to their own website. It was Washington Dental Service prior to becoming Delta Dental. From their website:“Our History of Dental Benefits ExpertiseIn 1954, dentists who recognized the need to increase access to oral health care formed dental service organizations in California, Oregon and Washington. Led by Washington Dental Service (WDS), we began to create the future definition of dental benefits with employee benefits programs for organized labor unions. In 1966, these local organizations joined in the creation of Delta Dental Plans Association in order to coordinate dental benefits programs for customers with employees in multiple states. A year later, WDS partnered with the International Association of Machinists, creating the first multi-state dental benefits program and beginning a cycle of continued growth and expansion for Delta Dental. To meet the needs of clients with out-of-state subscribers, WDS worked with other Delta Dental member companies and Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association members, continuing to serve its clients this way through the late 1980′s. When Delta Dental of California was chosen as the dental benefits carrier for the Office of the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services (OCHAMPUS) program, other Delta Dental member companies agreed to share their dentist data in order to centralize the administration of this large account. This change resulted in the creation of the National Provider File (NPF), and the establishment in 1990 of DeltaUSA—the company responsible for overseeing our dentist data and enabling the administration of national business. Today, Delta Dental Plans Association is comprised of 39 independent Delta Dental member companies operating in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. And, as the largest and most experienced dental benefits carrier in the country, we provide coverage to more than 59.5 million people enrolled in more than 97,000 groups.” Here is more interesting history of Delta Dental insurance that mentions Washington Dental Service (WDS), a precursor of Delta Dental. However, just because Delta Dental is a large dental insurance provider doesn’t mean that people are impressed by their plans, premiums, or service. Click the links below and be enlightened. Consumer Affairs – Delta Dental - Consumer Complaints & Reviews This is a consumer rating by Delta Dental customers. The rating given to Delta Dental by their customers were a 1 star out of a possible 5 star maximum. High Cost of AARP Delta Dental Here is another article from “Allpointe Insurance Services” out of California showing dental insurance alternatives. There are four viable strategies to make your dental care affordable.
If you happen to be one of the unfortunate clients stuck with Delta Dental, you might want to change plans! Should you receive it through your employer, you could get several people together and ask your employer to consider another company. There are other dental plan providers out there besides Delta Dental, and some only require 3 participants for a group rate. Note: Other than health insurance, dental insurance is the number one most sought after coverage. We are sad to report that it looks like Delta Dental is giving a bad name to all the others. It’s simply not worth it. (The market only receives what the filters of government allow to pass through.) That’s why we feel Delta Dental is not very good dental coverage. Remember, payouts are minimal, and if you are going to an in-network dentist, you are probably paying more for the services. The Delta Dental premiums people are paying out may be getting distributed to people or political agendas (even out of state) that you may not approve of at this time. The network of actors/players are filling their pockets while we are insurance poor, so be sure to check out the information below about the CEO’s making millions! Attention readers: Three Dentists File Complaint Against Delta Dental of Missouri (Nov 30, 2014 by Kimber Solana) St. Louis — Three Missouri dentists, including an ADA Board member, filed a complaint against Delta Dental of Missouri, alleging the nonprofit has been operating under an improperly adopted set of bylaws and is refusing to conduct an annual meeting this year as required by state law. Other issues raised by the plaintiffs in the complaint include:
Dr. Mark Zust, ADA 6th District trustee, along with Drs. Matt Niewald and Douglas Wyckoff — all of whom are enrolled providers of Delta Dental of Missouri — filed a “Verified Petition for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief” complaint on Nov. 18 in the St. Louis County Circuit Court. In the complaint, which is used to initiate a lawsuit, the plaintiffs also accuse the defendant of implementing “structural changes in its business practices that are harmful to its dentist-members” such as engaging in a “profit maximizing approach” that cut members’ reimbursement rates and compensation. “Dr. Zust stated that they believe that the original mission of Delta Dental has been lost in favor of profits,” Remember Lynn Douglas Mouden came to Arkansas from Missouri and was heavily involved with Delta Dental and the Prevent Abuse and Neglect through Dental Awareness (PANDA) program for which Delta Dental was a corporate sponsor. PANDA is a program used by dentists to report child abuse and neglect issues to the state. *Complaint Filed Against Delta Dental of Missouri Reached Settlement Dec. 17, 2014 The complaint had alleged that the nonprofit was operating under an improperly adopted set of bylaws and was refusing to conduct an annual meeting as required by state law. The settlement rectifies those practices. (Note: Secure Arkansas was able to confirm this settlement with one of the plaintiffs on February 23, 2016.) Second Complaint: Delta Dental – Consumer Complaints & Reviews (Buyer Beware) The following is one of many complaints against Delta Dental that was lifted from the above link. “I just went onto a student plan with Delta Dental, where it clearly states a $50 deductible. Shame on me for not calling and checking more in detail first, but after a regular teeth cleaning I was sent a $200 bill. Apparently there is no deductible but a fee schedule, which I was never informed of or sent information about. And the people on the phone were unable to explain this at all. When you read this fee schedule, it is worded backwards, so the user would think, for example, that for a $70 service they would pay $13, but really the insurance pays $13 and the insured pays $57. What student just has money lying around, and why would I pay for such a terrible plan? When I called I was given no help and am very disappointed with the information I was given upfront, and the solutions offered. I would never have done this procedure had I known.” Check the benefits out for yourself (from their website): Delta Dental Schedule of Benefits (for the complete schedule, click on the link to the left)
commencing on the membership effective date, and each yearly period thereafter.
Dental Plans Cost in (Arkansas)
The following is a map showing all the locations that Delta Dental and their affiliates do business. Delta Dental appears to be one of the biggest money laundering schemes in America! This is the way money is apparently transferred in form of grants from their Delta Dental Plan to their Delta Dental Foundations. (The customers paying for the insurance plans are suffering). These grants transfer large sums of money between states. Delta Dental also uses these grants to support their partners in advancing their agenda of nationwide fluoridation. The Insurance Commission in every state should start an investigation on how the money flows with Delta Dental and the high compensation that the officers receive. Some of these officers are compensated over $3 million per year.
Delta Dental Corporate Profile Delta Dental of California, Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, Delta Dental of New York, Inc., and Delta Dental Insurance Company, together with their affiliate companies, form one of the largest dental benefits delivery systems in the country. Delta Dental provides dental plans in 15 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, covering 33 million enrollees throughout the nation. Their group of companies and affiliates are members of the Delta Dental Plans Association, a network of 39 independent Delta Dental member companies that together provide dental coverage to more than 68 million people nationwide. Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation EIN 26-1569324 Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation is 99% funded by Delta Dental Plan of Arkansas. What Delta Dental needs to do is to stop funding the foundations with money received from overcharges on dental insurance premiums. At the same time Delta Dental could reduce their dental insurance policies costs and increase what Delta Dental pays out in claims. Government is the means that pushes the wealthy and powerful corporations forward which causes new heights of monopoly and control. Are you aware that our government has a vested interest in many of the top corporations in America? Every legislative session, new laws are made to protect this shadow government. We are tired of our legislators selling out and working in collusion with these power hungry corporations. Where you see regulatory compliance, what this really means is regulatory advantage over the competition. Free enterprise does not really exist! Non-Profits — 501(c)3’s — can be used to compensate the officers and promote their agendas. Non-Profits, and especially entities of Delta Dental, have probably been used to enrich the executives with six-figure salaries and more. Also remember that 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 are nonprofit organizations exempt from federal and state taxes. With all the Delta Dental entities, they are allowed to make large grants from their Delta Dental Plans to their Delta Dental Foundations across the country. Warning to Tax-Exempt Organizations: Restriction of Political Campaign Intervention by 501(c)3 Tax-Exempt Organizations Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes. (Editor’s note: Delta Dental appears to be in violation of this 501(c)3) IRS restriction. This can be verified on Delta Dental IRS filings and the candidates political campaign filings with the Secretary of State). The potential use of charitable organizations to provide cover for financial dealings of a less-than-charitable nature should be a concern to everyone. Attorneys should position themselves! This following article shows that the people involved in adding the toxic chemicals to public water supplies could be subject to prosecution. Remember: fluoride makes the lead in the water more toxic. Flint,_Michigan,_Bureaucrats_Could_Be_Charged_With_Manslaughter for Mass Poisoning of Population with Toxic Lead. “According to reports, those responsible for the disaster could face criminal charges for negligently poisoning the city’s residents with lead and other toxic substances. A special counsel has been established to determine who is at fault and to press charges against them, as this once local crisis captivates the nation. Sources say charges all the way up to manslaughter are “not far-fetched,” and that the proper course of action will be taken to make sure the culprits are held fully responsible for their crimes. One of the departments being investigated, the Department of Environmental Quality Control, is reportedly on the chopping block for failing to address the problem of lead being leached from old, corroding water pipes. Sources say DEQ Director Dan Wyant resigned back in December for failing to properly mitigate the problem, which put Flint’s nearly 100,000 residents at risk of permanent brain damage.” Briefly summarizing: Delta Dental seems to have an agenda to advance nationwide fluoridation, and millions of dollars are used to promote it! Executives are highly paid, and the network is tight with profits to be made in this type of racket. In the opinion of Secure Arkansas, Delta Dental insurance is lacking and is a very poor investment because they only pay a minimal amount on their claims. Also, we have touched on water fluoridation, lead, and toxins in this article. *Don’t forget to have your water tested!* Click here to order your drinking water test kit from KAR Laboratories. The Kit-90 is a $49.95 price kit which will run 95 separate water tests in about 2 business days. Click here to see the Kit-90 Example Lab Report. Secure Arkansas believes this is one of the best deals out there for independent water testing. The Arkansas Department Health has selected a low number of homes (of their choice) within the Harrison area to be tested for lead. They recommend only running a single test (of their choice) for lead, at a facility of their choice, when in all actuality, tests for several more elements need to be done. ADH does all the choosing??? Unbelievable! Secure Arkansas has a problem with the way this crisis is being handled. Again, to be safe, have your own drinking water independently tested at a facility different from those that the ADH recommends! Stay tuned!
