UPDATE 2/20/2017: SJR 7 and SJR 9 both FAILED today in the Senate! CORRECTION: The PDF links for Jason Rapert’s financials that were listed in our previous email weren’t linked correctly, so we have corrected those. See the chart below. Secure Arkansas would like our readers to know that Senator Rapert tried to emotionally argue these issues on moral grounds when they were actually about applying for a Constitutional Convention all along.

—————————————————————————————— *** Senators, VOTE NO on Progressive Article V Legislation *** Sponsor: Senator Jason Rapert
__________________________________________________________________________ The Arkansas Senate will be voting on SJR 7 and SJR 9 on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. on the full Senate floor.
This will be an application to Congress to call a convention…
In a recent article Secure Arkansas wrote: So, what are Senator Rapert’s deceptive excuses for unnecessarily amending the founding document of our country? “Right To Life and Marriage” He’s using Ad Misericordiam — the fallacy of appealing to one’s emotions — and an appeal to morality and conscience in order to justify his selfish motives and globalist agenda. (Someone who does that is typically considered a CON MAN!) Christians should be outraged! No matter what moral excuse Senator Rapert gives, we cannot allow it as a reason for a radical overhaul of our U.S. Constitution, one of the most important documents of all time! Having or applying for an Article V convention is setting us up for a pitfall! The very idea that our founding document is in need of a “review” and needs “amendments” via an Article V Amendments convention has gripped some so-called Christian conservatives/progressives because of propaganda and lies.
Family Council seems to have an “understanding” with Senator Jason Rapert and his Article V Con-Con Legislation SJR 7 and SJR 9. Secure Arkansas plans to write more about this at a later date.
The following is an email alert from Jerry Cox of Family Council after he said the Arkansas Family Council had no position on an Article V Con Con. Two weeks ago, Cox stated to Secure Arkansas per a phone conversation that he would NOT promote the the Article V convention, a.k.a. Constitutional Convention, for the rest of this legislative session. So, he lied to us! Again! Recently, Secure Arkansas has received many calls from around the state that reported their consternation on the double-talk that Family Council is spewing out to the public while walking the halls of the Capitol promoting an Article V convention or Con Con! (See the email reply from a concerned Christian to Jerry Cox below! Yes, he LIED to her also!)
Yes, Jerry Cox of Family Council is promoting a Con Con! _______________________________________________________________________

You’ll see that some his contributors include:
The following information is from Senator Jason Rapert’s 10/15/2016 Campaign Contribution and Expenditure Report filed with the Arkansas Secretary of State office (listed above in the chart).
Here are some of his suspicious Campaign Expenditures on his 10/15/16 report: Name and Address of Supplier/Payee Description of Expenditure Date of Expenditure Amount Arkansas Family Council Sponsorship 09/22/2016 $250.00 414 S Pulaski St. Little Rock, AR 72201
Faulkner Co Jr Livestock Assoc Sponsorship and Jr Auction 09/24/2016 $3,265.00 PO Box 305 Conway, AR 72033
Senator Jason Rapert is churning out WAY too many bills for them to be regarding topics he’s researched on his own. He has 24 bills coming up in the Senate on Monday, February 20th! Most of them are concerning changing Arkansas Code, and anytime this happens, it changes the Arkansas Constitution. Who do you think was responsible for writing all this legislation? It certainly wasn’t Senator Rapert. For what bill mill do you think that Senator Rapert was working? Won’t it be nice to have the author of the legislation? The sponsor means nothing.
ACTION ALERT: Contact the senators listed below by email and phone, and tell them to VOTE NO on SJR 7 and SJR 9 which will come before the full Senate on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.
