Twitter Boycott New Censorship PolicyDespite the threat given by hackers for taking down facebook and the boycott of another social networking site Twitter in complaint of censorship issue, the sites are still doing their business almost incessantly.

Though, Twitter did not give an immediately response when it was asked by CNET for commenting about the boycott, the tweets’ pace have seemingly slowed down, according to the users’ perspective. As it’s the Saturday, it can’t be said for certain that the news feeds tend to noticeably slow down. However, yet the slow down have not been reported by Twitter itself.

The Twitter boycott appeared after the Twitter announced on Thursday about the change in its policies regarding withholding of tweets when the local laws of a country is violated. Until now, whenever a tweet was needed to be taken down, Twitter would remove the content from the site. However, under the revised policy, the tweets can be withdrawn on a country-by-country basis.
