(Before It's News)

2012 will see a flurry of new and some old beloved titles hitting the shelves. There are plenty of promising triple-A titles coming and below is a list of highly anticipated and best games of 2012, according to me.

1)      Halo 4

Dubbed as the biggest console exclusive of 2012, Halo is being developed by 343 industries. Halo 4 will once again feature fan favorite Master Chief as the main character and protagonist. The story of Halo 4 will be a continuation of Halo 3 which was released to critical acclaim in 2007 and was developed by Bungie. 343 Studios are hard at work to make it the most memorable Halo experience to date. Almost every aspect of the game has been recreated from graphics to sound; everything has been improved. The developers have promised to put more focus on the games new and darker story and will feature many brand-new multiplayer maps.

While not much is known about Halo 4 yet, we are sure to get some new info at this year’s E3.

2)      Bioshock Infinite

In 2007, thanks to 2k Boston (Now known as Irrational Games), we were introduced to the underwater city of Rapture. It was and still is one of the most fascinating settings ever created for a video game, as it received numerous awards including game of the year 2007. In 2012, the team at Irrational Games is looking to repeat the success of 2007 with Bioshock Infinite. The game will take place on a flying city known as Columbia where only means of transportation is by hooking onto a network of overhead rollercoaster’s.

So, what makes the city of Columbia float? Well, according to ken Levine, creative director of development at Irrational Games “The prime thing that happens in Columbia to set everything in motion is the thing that makes it float”. Looks like Levine is not willing to divulge any secrets before the release of his magnum opus.

Bioshock Infinite features excellent graphics with amazing art style. The game is built on latest version of unreal game engine. Bioshock infinite will be launched on October 12th  for PC, Xbox 360 and Ps3.

3)      Resident Evil 6

Resident evil is generally credited with popularizing horror games. In 2012, gamers will get their hands on 6th installment of this legendary series. Resident Evil 6 will feature 3 protagonists namely Leon Kennedy (Resident Evil 4), Chris Redfield (Resident Evil 5) and a new comer Jack. Each have their own unique campaign, however, all have the same goal of tracking the mysterious C virus. The zombies also make their return after being notably absent from the previous game. According to the game director of Resident Evil 6, the goal of the game is to create a world that would be horrific and suspenseful. The game will have around 30 hours of single player content that is a significant amount of game time considering the genre.  Resident Evil 6 looks set to revolutionize the horror game genre as it did in the past.
