(Before It's News)

Speculating on Apple’s upcoming hardware got a little bit harder today as we find out that Apple will be removing all hints of future products from iOS files. One of the biggest ways folks have been able to start the rumor mills a turning was to open up the USBDeviceConfiguration.plist files and being filtering through all of the model names for the iDevices. The current models would all be intact, and if anything stood out that wasn’t part of the current line up, that would lead us to whatever products Apple had in store.

With Tim Cook cracking down on secrecy, iOS 6 is just one more step in the direction of not knowing what Apple has in store for our greasy fingers. It’s not going to be any fun if we have to wait for an event to know what we get to play with next! We’ll all have to rely on the people leaking information to Gurman and the 9to5Mac crew for all of our Apple secrets :)
