University of California at Berkeley visiting scholar Ozzie Zehner has published a book titled Green Illusions: The Dirty Secrets of Clean Energy and the Future of Environmentalism charging hybrid and electric cars are neither clean nor green, presumably based upon the mining impacts, toxins, energy use, suburban sprawl and carbon footprints resulting from the fabrication process.
