According to a report published by The Wall Street Journal, Apple is planning for a massive production of iPad tablets that will be smaller than regular size. There suppliers are taking preparations accordingly. The report says that the South Korean hardware manufacturer LG Display Co. and Twain’s AU Optronics Co. are among those suppliers. An unidentified official from one of these suppliers has confirmed that Apple has asked for such smaller devices. Current regular size iPad has a smashing 9 inch display but other available tablets in the market are much smaller than that, Google Nexus for one has a 7 inch display. Since these tablets are smaller than iPad they cost less. Although Apple us still at the top of tablet market but customers are concerned about the price of Apple’s devices.
Microsoft’s Surface tablet will have a 10.1 inch display which will cost similar to iPads but it will also act like a notepad. So Apple is trying to lower the price by reducing display size.
more over priced crap I don’t need and won’t buy!
