It’s Time, It’s Time, It’s RUMBATime!
For the past month I’ve had the privilege of testing out one of the watches from the RumbaTime. While I am not a fan of watches, this one grabbed my interest with a little special feature built into the wristband. The main selling point of the PerryGO is its NFC capabilities, allowing the wearer to make purchases on the go, without worrying about having cash or their card.
As I mentioned, I am not a watch wearer. The main reason is, I just feel that watches get in the way all the time. Plus, I always have my phone on me. The guys at Rumba, have won me over though. This watch is lightweight, and avoids getting in the way. Add in the fact that it is water resistant (up to 165ft), this is the perfect summertime watch.
With the talks of new devices, having NFC functions added to them (one of the rumored abilities of this year’s iPhone update), one of the main concerns is security. To prevent the accidental loss of the NFC chip, Rumba has partnered up with VITABand to provide prepaid credit cards. This allows the ability to cancel and order a new card at the click of a mouse.
I’d recommend this watch to everyone. Especially those who are already watch wearers. The convenience of having the NFC chip placed in the watch, allows you to go shopping without carrying extra baggage.
