(Before It's News)

Someone got to start thinking what it will be like if they were inside the Curiosity as it made its touchdown on Mars. This was what Bill Dunford from Riding With Robots on the High Frontier wanted to experience and set out to do so as he tapped into NASA’s Eye on the Solar System website.

Mars

It is a site that makes simulated images and creates views based on data collated of planets and space. It gives the user a simulated travel experience to any of these objects floating in space including spacecraft. The 3D journey also takes place in real time and gives an awesome experience. Screen shots of the experience have been posted online.

Mars

He used it to follow a simulated journey of the Curiosity through space to Mars and land on its surface giving him some amazing views. The Curiosity will be making its actual landing on Mars on the 5th of August. So much has been invested into this but its success of failure won’t be known until fourteen minutes after.
