I can assure you that there will be lots of angry phone calls and emails being exchanged over at One Infinite Loop, Cupertino California. Someone might have been seriously grilled for what appears to be an honest human mishap. Apple, usually known for its iron clad secrecy when it comes to new products, has unwillingly confirmed the existence of iPhone 5, new iPod touch, new iPod Nano as well as iTunes 11. Search results on Apple’s own website have revealed the true names of these upcoming products just merely hours before the official announcement.
Every year whenever a new device is due to be announced, we always receive some credible information in the final hours leading up to the event itself. This time however it has come from Apple itself, unwillingly off course. There was a lot of talk about what Apple will end up calling the sixth generation iPhone. Will it be iPhone 5, the New iPhone, iPhone HD etc etc. The press release section of Apple’s website returned a link when being searched for keyword “iPhone 5″ which confirms that today’s iPhone will definitely be called the iPhone 5. It will also have the much rumored LTE 4G compatibility.
That’s not all though. The search engine on Apple’s website also returned links which confirm existence and imminent announcement of new iPod touch and new iPod Nano. We have heard a lot of rumors in the recent past claiming that Apple will announce both of these products alongside the new iPhone. Indeed all of these rumors have now turned out to be true. Moreover to support all of these new products, Apple is also rolling out a much awaited major update of iTunes. The website has returned links which confirm iTunes 11 will be announced today as well.
If you search for the respective keywords now on Apple’s website, they don’t show these links anymore because they obviously have been taken down. However once Apple makes the official announcements these links will be back up online and will point to respective press releases for each of these new products. One thing has been confirmed though, there was no link for an iPad Mini which too was thought to be announced alongside iPhone 5. Whether Apple plans on holding a separate event just for it or whether it plans on never releasing the product all, it can be safely said that the iPad Mini is one thing we won’t be hearing a word about from Apple today.
