Eric Schmidt talks Android, activation’s at 1.3 Million a day

The press event for the announcement of the three new RAZR devices headed to Verizon wasn’t just packed with showing off the devices themselves. Sure, that is all we really wanted to see, but some other information was talked about before hand.

When the whole event began one of our favorite Googlers, Eric Schmidt, took the stage and offered up some details about the Android platform. So what did he have to offer up for us all? Well, in the activation world, Android is hitting 1.3 million new activation’s across the globe daily. Of that 1.3 million, 70,000 of them are Android tablets. That all adds up to Android being at a whopping 480 million users active and online right now across the globe. He also went on to confirm that the comscores placing Android at 53% market share as being accurate.

Looks like Android is on the right track.
