Lenovo outs new IdeaPad S300 and S400 thin, light and affordable notebook
What feels like an Ultrabook but doesn’t cost like an Ultrabook? How about the new thin and light Lenovo IdeaPad S300 and S400 laptops? These laptops strike a balance between portability and performance, a cross between a netbook and Ultrabooks.
The IdeaPad S300 and S400 are made for consumers who want more computing power than a netbook and longer battery life than a traditional laptop, without the premium price of an Ultrabook. You’re looking at a Core i3-powered ultraportable laptop for less than Php25,000.
The 13-inch IdeadPad S300 and the 14-inch IdeaPad S400 is only 21.9mm thin and only weighs 1.8kgs. It has a sleek profile with a smooth metallic finish in either pink or silver colors for the IdeaPad S300 and red or silver for the S400 to appeal to both sexes. Inside you’ll notice the familiar concave keys popular to new Lenovo notebooks.
These notebook should also perform decently for your basic computing needs with the S400 having a 2nd Gen Intel Core i3 processor and 4GB RAM while the S300 will sport a dual-core ultra-low voltage Sandy Bridge processor and 2GB RAM. It may not be the latest specs in the market but it should still handle surfing, word processing, a bit of multimedia well while having a decent battery life.
If you don’t need much power from your laptop but value design and portability, the Lenovo IdeaPad S300 (Php21,995) and S400 (Php24,995) makes for a compelling buy.
