MicroVision and Intersil to partner on ASIC design for the HD PicoP engine

Microvision and Intersil are going to partner on ASIC development for MicroVision’s HD PicoP technology. The two companies hope that the new ASIC will integrate advanced features such as virtual touch and proximity sending and will increase the brightness of the projector while reducing power consumption, size and cost.
Back in April Intersil introduced a new low cost pico projector system, the Pico-qHD, which they say is the industry’s smallest production-ready LED-based LCoS Pico Projector solution.
