The Standalone YouTube App For iPhone, iPod Touch Released
Google’s YouTube App for Apple iOS cannot be installed as its default app but the users can now get the app simply by downloading a stand-alone app. This app for iPhone and iPod touch has come with some new features.
To meet the user’s demand Google recently released YouTube player dedicated to only iPhone and iPod Touch users. The stand alone app allows the users to watch videos on YouTube without any interruption. This app is developed to run on Apple’s new operating system iOS 6.
According to the Google YouTube blog news, Google revealed the new stand-alone YouTube player on 11th September. According to Google, a version of this app is under development for iPads as well. It is expected to arrive next month.
The users who were disappointed for not getting YouTube app on their mobile, the news of a standalone app is indeed a great one as they can download the official YouTube app from the AppStore, starting from today.
