(Before It's News)

Apparently, iPhone 5 holds a huge portion of the earnings Verizon has made from the 3.1 million iPhones in the previous quarter. This is according to the statement Fran Shammo, the company CFO, made in the Q32 earnings call last Thursday.

It was also said that 21% of the overall iPhone sales or 650,000 of iPhone 5 devices were sold ever since they were introduced to the market.

That can be quite an overwhelming number, but Verizon admits shortage in iPhone 5 stocks – which is common even among the other competing networks.

When asked about the shortage, Shammo revealed that the company is uncertain if they’ll last until fourth quarter. This might also be in relation to the recent announcement made by Apple in regards to refocusing on quality control instead of mass production.

One of Foxconn’s statements also revealed that iPhone 5 is the knottiest gadget they have put together thus far.
