The new Lesance NB S2301 / L by Unitcom

We will be seeing a whole range of new laptops coming to the market in the next few days and weeks, this is because of the introduction of the new operating system from Microsoft, Windows 8. This is the new Lesance NB S2301 / L laptop by Unitcom; it is a 13.3 inch model, powered by the Intel Celeron processor, Intel chipset and HD graphics. It is a fully featured entry level machine offering the Windows 8 experience at a reasonable price. The Lesance NB S2301 / L might be considered an entry level machine, but it does allow the consumer to get into the world of Windows 8 without having to pay out a huge amount of money, its real good value for money machine.

Here are the features and specs available with the Lesance NB S2301 / L, it comes with a nice sized 13.3 inch screen with a glossy colour LCD and touch panel support offering a 1366 × 768 of pixel resolution and there is a handy built in 1.0 mega pixel web camera. As mentioned earlier it will be running the latest Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit) operating system and is powered by the Intel Celeron processor with B847 (1.1 GHz) 2 core / 2 thread and a 2 MB cache. There is support for the Intel NM70 Express Chipset and the video graphics are coming from the Intel HD Graphics card.

There is up to 4 GB of DIMM RAM, a 500 GB 2.5 hard disk drive (HDD) for storage and there is a 64 GB (mSATA) solid state drive (SSD) as the boot drive. For networking, there is the built in IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN and the 1000 BASE-T wired Gigabit LAN, there does not appear to be a Bluetooth connection available. Other features in the SD / MMC / MS Card reader, built in stereo speakers, three standard style USB 2.0 ports and the D-Sub out. This laptop is small and light too, measuring in at 19.5 mm (H) x 229.5 mm (D) × 333 mm (W) and weighing it at 1.6 kilos with the lithium-ion battery installed that Unitcom claim should be good for up to 4 hours and 30 minutes of power.

Unitcom has priced the Lesance NB S2301 / L to sell at just under $500, which is not bad at all for a fully featured laptop such as this.
