Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.

Voting is a civil right.  Having access to the polls to cast your vote falls within those civil rights. For people with disabilities, the ability to have access to the polls and the political system is imperative.  There are a number of initiatives at the local, state and federal levels to ensure that polls and the political process is available to people with disabilities. Once such effort is www.AccessibleVoting.org  On this web site you will find tips, registration deadlines, a library and many other resources for voters, candidates, advocates and pollworkers.

For more information, to read our blog or to drop us a line, visit EasterSealsTech.com. That was your accessibility minute for this week. I’m Wade Wingler with the INDATA Project at Easter Seals Crossroads, in Indiana.
