Here is yet another new and it has to be said powerful notebook from the Japan based Dospara, it goes under the model number VF17H2 and is part of the popular Note Critea range of laptops that offer high specifications for a reasonable price structure. This model has the ever popular 17.3 inch display, it powered by the Intel Core i7 processor and has the HM76 chipset with Nvidia Geforce graphics card to provide the user with clean and crisp images, be it for gaming or for just watching a movie while on the move. There are four models in the Note Critea VF17H2 range, so we have gone for the mid range model that comes with a Blu-ray drive. This model gives a good idea on what is available within the range and shows that you do not have to spend a fortune in order to get your hands and good laptop.
The Note Critea VF17H2 has a 17.3 inch screen with wide LCD Glossy Full HD Display offering a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolutions and there is a built in 1.3 mega pixel web camera. It is running on the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and powered by the Intel Core i7-3630QM mobile processor with 2.40 GHz to 3.40 GHz with Turbo Boost and up to 6 MB L3 cache with support from the Intel Hyper-Threading Technology. There is the usual Mobile Intel HM76 Express Chipset and video from the NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 1GB + Intel HD Graphics with switching by the NVIDIA Optimus Technology. On board, there is 8 GB of PC3-12800 DDR3 SO-DIMM in 4 GB x 2 up to 16 GB Max and there a 500 GB 2.5 inches hard disk drive (HDD) connected SATA 3.0 GB 5400 rpm (SATAII) for storage.
When it comes to networking, there is the 10 BASE-T, 100 BASE-TX, 1000 BASE-T Wired LAN, Bluetooth 4.0 + HS and the IEEE 802.11 b / g / n Wireless LAN. Other features include the two super fast USB 3.0 ports, two standard USB 2.0 ports, HDMI & D-Sub 15 display ports and the handy multi card reader. As the measurements of this laptop its 34.7 mm (H) × 278 mm (D) x 419 mm (H) and it weighs in at a heavy 3.0 kilos with the Lithium-ion battery installed that Dospara claims should offer approximately 3.7 hours of power. Dospara have priced this mid range model to start from around $910, which is a fair price to pay for such a well loaded laptop.
