According to CEO of BitTorrent, Eric Kinkler, the company is working on bring peer to peer video sharing. At least they have a certification program already. The CEO confirmed that they have already signed deals with 20 electronic makers who have agreed to include this peer to peer service in their TV sets and hopefully by end of 2012, some of the new upgraded TV sets will be ready for supply.
Even though the CEO did not disclose any of the 20 manufacturers whom they have signed deals with, he mentioned that the first TV sets will be shipped to Asia and Europe. He explained that US already have several manufacturers using Netflix which are already in the shops. He also warned that people should not expect to see BitTorrent TVs in the local big-box stores but they should instead expect that the company will make a name in more than just the software and the rare router.
