Dr. John Grotzinger, chief investigator for NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity, said
“This data is gonna be one for the history books. It’s looking really good.” (Note 1).
Dr. Grotzinger also said the data was obtained from the soil sample which Curiosity’s X-Ray Diffraction instrument (CheMin) found “amorphous” (Note 2). The “amorphous“ material mostly contains remains of Martian neurons and red blood cells:
