Because we’re sitting around looking at food all day today, why don’t we take a moment to not only reflect on what we are thankful for, but also reflect on what our food might look like a few Thanksgivings from now. Prost!

Hors D’oeuvres

As you wait for the family to arrive, you just can’t contain that hunger after having not eaten in the last 36 hours in preparation for mashed potatoes galore. In the meantime, stuff your face with portrait matzo from Matzography or a delicious lasercut banana from Wouter Walmink.

Appetizers

Now that everybody’s arrived it’s time to pop the corks, splash the scotch, and move on to the next course. For the first plate of appetizers, we’ll start with lasercut nori (seaweed) butterfly shrimp from Seattle Food Geek. Next, we’ll move on to the Amuse Piglet lasercut ham sandwiches and Pied de Poule laser seared Tuna accompanied with Boeing style vegetable lasagna by Jan Habraken and Alissia Melka Teichroew.

Main Course

This is Thanksgiving right? What could be a better main course than some 3D printed turkey and celery squares from Cornell’s Computational Synthesis Lab? As if it couldn’t get any more delicious, we’ll also be serving up some laser-etched ham by Studio Luddens, and laser-etched beef jerky business cards by MeatCards.com as we discuss how our careers are going. All main courses served with laser etched toast from Champion Studio.

Dessert and Café

Finally, after we pass the Tums around in our special Thanksgiving-themed china bowls, we’ll be satisfying your sweet tooth and warding off the food coma with a latte featuring printed latte art from OnLatte. While wiping off your latte foam moustache (it is Movember so you could just keep it), you can enjoy some 3d printed chocolate from Choc Edge, or chocolate that’s been molded from your lovely mug. If you happen to be in the .01% population that’s allergic to chocolate, we have a backup option for you. The dodecahedrons off the Candy Fab 6000 might just be the most mathematically perfect candy ever. And for those Apple fanboys who can’t stop instagramming and tweeting the night away, there is the lasercut Apple pie.

Happy Food Coma everybody!
