iSIGN Puts Advertisements on the Move for Small Businesses

(Before It's News)

Consumers have been seeing print ads throughout shopping centers for decades. Signs point hungry shoppers to pizza places, while the Geek Squad pulls in Best Buy browsers who might be looking for a quick fix. Unfortunately, shoppers have become desensitized to in-store signage and other marketing efforts rooted in the “old way” of doing business.

New technology is taking business advertising to new places by putting the tech in vehicles. Now, pizza delivery cars can take company ads and media with them, right to the customers’ front door step, without using physical signage at all. Likewise, the Geek Squad’s cars can become moving advertisements that reach beyond the cars’ distinctive paint in the effort to grab new business. The same technology is available to small businesses, as well.

iSIGN Media is shaking up the way shoppers receive advertisements in-store, and on the go. iSIGN is putting innovative advertising in company cars as well as retail locations. Using Bluetooth technology, companies can attach the Interactive Media Solutions Unit or Smart Antenna to the car, to broadcast ads to a range of up to 300-ft around the car, should potential customers opt in or out of receiving the promotion.

Technologically, iSIGN is now taking the next logical step after its established history with digital signage by placing the technology in vehicles. Digital signage is the technology that is letting shoppers connect with deals in retail locations that has already made its way into thousands of cities around North America.

The new technology is mindful of user privacy and cellular service costs. The ads are transmitted via Bluetooth to allow the experience to be “free” for the consumer. No service charges ever apply, further urging users to opt in.

The media incorporated into the ads can be rich, eye-catching sound, video, and interactive tools. Data relating to customers opting in (for repeat opportunities) is collected, as well as interactions, for measuring conversion results.  If a customer opts out, the service will not attempt to re-establish a connection with that customer on that same device again.

iSIGN is beneficial to small businesses thanks to its cost-effective approach to advertising. Key benefits include:

  • Low initial cost of engagement.
  • The consumer carries the store with them.
  • Service is free to the consumer.
  • Facilitates fresh, engaging content that lets a brand define itself.
  • Easy to use system with no capital investment.
  • Great back-office support analyses data and results with customizable output.

iSIGN’s new mobile approach is a great way for any small business with a fleet (or a few) of company cars to reach potential customers within range of the vehicles. This is an exciting new direction for advertising that is unobtrusive to the customer, and potentially valuable to the businesses using the system.
