New Apple store player Futureworld opens in not your typical malls
A new Authorizer Apple Reseller player, Futureworld, sets up shop in SM City Masinag. That’s in Antipolo along Marcos Highway if you’re wondering. And yes it’s an odd location for a store selling premium items but it’s also an untapped one.
“Our long term plan is to expand in locations with demands and needs not yet offered and catered to by other local Apple Premium Resellers, such as Antipolo and Bicutan. In the next couple of months, we will be opening branches in San Lazaro and Sta. Mesa, Manila,” says Gerald Senolos, Country Manager of Futureworld One Philippines, Inc.
I just found out that you can’t have multiple Apple reseller stores in close proximity to one other. Although it’s ok to have an Authorized Reseller and an Authorized Premium Reseller in the same location. Most of the high-end malls are already occupied by top Apple shops such as Digital Hub, Power Mac Center, and iStudio so Futureworld is looking into the untapped locations.
So what does Futureworld have that can’t be found in other stores? Futureworld will carry the complete line-up of Apple hardware and software, while also having exclusive distribution rights to accessories such as earphone organizer Onanoff, iOS compatible weighing scale and blood pressure monitor Withings, Incipio cases, cycling power meters like iBike, and a complete line of organization accessories from Cocoon.
They also carry audio accessory brands such as House of Marley, iScott, and Logic3.
Futureworld aims to become a leading retailer not only in the Philippines but also in the region. They already have branches in other Asian countries like Vietnam, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.
