(Before It's News)

The Taiwan based makers of Nexus 7; ASUS that partnered with Google for the device has recently announced some very good Q3 results. They have not given any details about the sale of the Nexus 7 or how it is being received in the market but is clear from the Q3 results that were announced that the reception and sale of the device made a significant contribution to their Q3 results.

But this has changes as the CFO of ASUS, David Chang was reported to have said that the device is selling close to a million on the average per month and this is about double its sales when it was first launched. This can’t be compared to that of iPad which was 1 million for the last quarter alone but indications are pointing towards the sales increasing per month in the coming months. For one thing they have dropped the price which could make it have a look-in by those who would have otherwise viewed it as being too expensive. They have also added a 32GB model to their range.

On the other hand, they might face some stiff competition from Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD and the new apple product; Apple iPad mini and this is beside their own Nexus 10 which may draw the eyes of buyers from Nexus 7. The Jelly Bean OS device does have its work cut out for it in the coming months.
