Nintendo CEO gave some details about the Nintendo Wii U console. He confirmed that the premium pack comes with an AC adapter that is kind of heavier. The package also has the main unit, the GamePad, charging stand for the GamePad, console stand, HDMI cable, extra cable twists, packaging and beta test for the new Dragon Quest title. He further explained that up to 12 players are able to register on the same Wii U on their different accounts and this does not interfere with individual settings or games saved on the console.

This makes the pack ideal for those interested in multiplayer games. The new console is also capable of storing progress of all participating accounts. The user account profiles will also include play history and internet bookmarks to help in future arguments. The new console has renamed the Mii characters which now hang out as Warawara as soon as the console is powered on and this allows viewing of what other gamers are doing on their different consoles.

The characters allow for linking to a Nintendo Network ID and are compatible with earlier versions of Nintendo hardware. It is expected that sometime next year users will be able to connect the hardware to PC and smartphones and thus gain entry to Nintendo eShop and Miiverse. You can also use your SD card to transfer your retro collection of games from your former Wii to this new one.

With the new GamePad, it is now possible to pause a game midway as well as use inbuilt internet browser without having to reset the game. The GamePad can also be used as remote to change channels on TV. It is also possible to share game progress on social networl as well as post notes to other Nintendo gamers who are in the same network. The Wii U chat also allows video and audio streaming through the touch screen of the GamePad. Home button notifies user of incoming call. The GamePad has an inbuilt microphone but it is hoped that a standalone microphone will soon be available as an accessory as Wii U is pitched for Karaoke fans.

The Karaoke feature on Wii U allows over 90,000 songs on subscription and does not require internet. Japan users can find quotes for the subscription already. It is not yet clear how much the microphone will cost. It is not yet confirmed also whether the Karaoke app will benefit users outside Japan. However, what is confirmed is that US players will get the console before everyone else in less than 2 weeks.
