After a deluge of Galaxy Notes and Galaxy S III minis and Galaxy S III, there are plenty of unconfirmed reports that Samsung is now planning to launch SHV-E270L. Currently codenamed ‘Baffin’ according to the sources, the new device is likely being designed for the Korean consumers. There are also contradicting reports suggesting Samsung could sell the device as a rebranded ‘Galaxy’ in other markets.
The still unnamed device is said to be an LTE phone powered by a 1.4GHZ CPU and Bluetooth database. The 800×480 WVGA display doesn’t sound very impressive. Rumours are that the company is deliberately keeping it a low resolution phone because it will be aimed at older people and contain larger icons for easy viewing. Its quad-core processor and Android 4.1 OS makes it a powerful device even for the old. It will be interesting to see how it fares in the market.
