The problem for us (as humans) in discussing reality is that existence is change, because it means that reality is continuosly ambiguous between before and after, in an orthogonal sense meaning ambiguous between process (ie, ambiguity itself) and pattern (ie, before and after). The problem with this ambiguity is that if we deny it, then we instead are contradictory.
This is the contradiction in the cladistic approach. It confuses process (ie, ambiguity) with “after”, thereby actually acknowledging contradiction instead of the ambiguity of reality.
