(Before It's News)

More power! As Tim Allen would mention many times in his popular TV show “Home Improvement”, as well as in his popular stand-up act. When referring to the mobile world, “more power” of course would refer to the processors that operate our phones that are strapped to us daily. In ZTE‘s case, they want to up the ante and get 8 cores inside their very own flagship phone called the “Apache”.

According to China Times, the popular Chinese manufacturer is teaming up with MediaTek to get an A15 based octa-core processor inside their new flagship phone. According to reports, MediaTek beat out MVIDIA and Qaulcomm for this option. Many suggest that it is also because of pricing, being that it is a cheaper Chinese manufacturer. Details that have been shuffled around suggest that this phone will have top of the line in specs. 1080p display, 13-megapixel camera, powerful battery, are just a few of the features we will probably see in this new mega-phone. The phone is expected to be released sometime next year.

You guys think 8 cores are too much? Let us know what you guys think.
