It was a big year for Google’s Android platform in terms of apps. Google Play hit 700,000 total apps last month, bringing it to a virtual tie with Apple’s App Store.
Not only has Android caught up to iOS in app quantity, but at last count, the former’s market share surpassed 70% globally.
