A little over a year ago, GameStop stores starting buying up all the iDevices they could find. Now in full swing of things with the trading and selling of Apple’s creations, GameStop has now started offering Amazon’s tablet. Just in time for the Holiday buying frenzy, you can stop by your local GameStop, trade in that old iPod, grab a new Kindle Fire and iPad, and pick up that new Call of Duty game everyone is whispering about!
The kicker about the whole thing, GameStop will be offering a free $25 Amazon.com gift card with each purchase, now through January 31, 2013. You can also get up to $100 trade-in credit when bringing in your original Kindle Fire. This is a great deal for those of you looking to upgrade from the original model.
“Gaming is one of the most popular activities on Kindle Fire, so we’re excited that GameStop is offering the new Kindle Fire family to its customers,” said Mike McKenna, vice president, Amazon Kindle. “Kindle Fire HD, with its stunning custom HD display, gyroscope and accelerometer with full tilt and turn controls is great for gaming, and the perfect choice for GameStop’s enthusiastic customer base.”
The Kindle Fire HD 7″ is available in all US Stores for the price of $199.99 while the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ ($299.99) and Kindle Fire 7″ ($159.99) will be available in select stores. You can visit GameStop.com for details and participating locations.
