The Lumia 900 which was only out last April will soon be given a fresh new look in early 2013, as per Microsoft. The company has officially announced on Wednesday that the Windows Phone 7.8 will be available to existing Windows Phone 7.5 owners in a few weeks. This will make available features like resizable live tiles to older handsets. Other additions include theme colors and enhanced Exchange security.
The launch has been preceded by plenty of speculation. So the new information about the launch of Windows Phone 7.8 from Microsoft is very welcome. The company is reportedly working closely with hardware and carrier partners for conducting the tests and getting the approvals in place. This tends to be the hard part. One hopes that the company will keep its date of early 2013 and the schedule does not get thrown out of gear.
