(Before It's News)

Samsung would seem to have done its background checking before coming out in public that it was in the know about the Exynos security threat that was uncovered last weekend. The smart phone giant that is giving Apple sleepless nights has not provided a timeline for plugging the threat, but has said that it is working on it.

Samsung Exynos

According to an official release, “Samsung is aware of the potential security issue related to the Exynos processor and plans to provide a software update to address it as quickly as possible.” While their tech brains apply their grey cells, Project Voodoo’s François Simond (Supercurio) has issued his root-free solution within hours of the discovery of the security threat on Sunday. Fans who are unable to wait for Samsung can try out this simple solution in the interim. The full statement issued by Samsung can also be read at Android Central .
