Solar power is the future, and speaking of which, we have some news regarding one of the world’s first solar planes.
We already covered Solar Impulse solar plane, and as you might know, Solar Impulse is 100 percent solar-powered aircraft, and it can fly during night and day for 24 hours without any fuel. This is achieved with thousands of solar cells that are placed on the plane’s wings in order to provide enough power for the battery. Creators of Solar Impulse have big plans for this plane, and their next step is to take Solar Impulse on a flight around the world by 2015. As for the flight, it’s expected to take 20 days and 20 nights, and it will be a historic event.
