Sony Updates Xperia S Owners Regarding Android 4.1.2 Update – “Keep Waiting, More Details In Mid-December”
Sony Xperia S owners have been (im)patiently waiting for news on when they would be seeing the latest and greatest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for their devices. Sony’s track record with such things isn’t exactly spotless. But alas, the story has a happy ending.
Today, Sony’s Mobile UI Twitter account has updated the masses, saying that Jelly Bean is in fact still coming, and to look for more details around “mid-December”. By mid-Q1 2013 the Jelly Bean rollout to the most recent devices should begin, with the current devices in question following soon thereafter. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see what Sony Mobile has to say in a couple weeks time for more concrete calendar planning.
