For us (humans) as conceptualizers of reality, there are two aspects on reality: process and pattern, and orthogonal logical reasonings in each of these two aspects.
Our problem (as humanity) is that each of us tends to choose between following different lines of logical reasoning and triangulating between these two orthogonal lines of logical reasoning, instead of considering the difference between them, ie, following both at the same time. If we follow both at the same time, then we can understand that they meet in Russell’s paradox.
So, why do they meet in Russell’s paradox? Well, the reason is that conceptualization opens a window for us to understand reality that ends in Russell’s paradox. This window does not allow our conceptualization of reality to fuse with reality, but only to talk about it. The illusory fusion is Russell’s paradox.
It means that our talk about reality has to be a compromise between our comprehension of reality and what we can say about it. There will thus always remain a “true core” between our talk about reality and reality which we can’t reach. This core is the mystery of our conceptualization of reality or of reality. It is what Ludwig Wittgenstein explained by the statement that ”What we cannot speak about we must pass over in silence.” (Wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muß man schweigen.)
This illusory middle is what cladistics search. It has thus turned matters up-side-down claiming (actually defining) that this illusory middle indeed can be found. Cladistics thus claims that: “What we cannot speak about we can speak about.” If this is not anything else than a total conceptual melt-down, then Einstein (and many other scientists) is an idiot. Why complicate matters as Einstein did if process indeed can be consistently fused with pattern? Why not just search the consistent fusion of process with pattern (as cladistics does)?
