With “all major markets” now covered by LTE, Verizon is setting their sites on smaller cities and towns in-between bigger ones in an effort to really fill in the cracks in their LTE network outside the typical city limits. To some, investing so much time and energy in sparsely populated areas doesn’t seem like a very good return on investments. But truth be told, everyone should have LTE. Not only that, once you’ve experienced what LTE offers, it’s extremely hard to go back to something as slow as 3G (in Verizon’s case, EV-DO).
Starting December 20th, several new less populous areas around the country will gain speedy VZW LTE service:
Because of the smattering in nature of the networks above, you’ll find coverage sometimes in places not specifically listed and similarly, weak in places listed above. Once the new network(s) go live December 20th, we encourage any and all who want to share screenshots of their speedtest results do so.
