By installing a line of JavaScript code, many websites including Hacker News will show a tribute to victims of the Sandy Hook shooting victims over their normal sites on Friday December 21st at 9:30am EST. The campaign was inspired by a call for a national moment of silence by Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy, and spearheaded by Causes. It follows a coalition of tech leaders calling for more gun control.
