JH Audio might not be very familiar with mainstream consumer headphone users simple because they 1) cost more than those $10 pieces of crap you find littering retailers’ end caps and 2) are custom IEMs. Instead of a varying assortment of rubbery tips to stick on the end of the earphones, JH Audio makes products that require custom ear molds from an audiologist.

In the IEM world, there is a hotbed of activity and competition. Tons of big names are fighting for their right to pump your head full of music. Some stray from the core of what good headphones should be (about the music) and instead fall back on flashy celebrity endorsements to get their product out into the limelight. That said, you can *usually* tell serious headphone manufacturers from ones trying to make a quick buck in that their celebrity endorsements aren’t the main part of their message or their sole marketing plan. JH Audio, a smaller family run business out of Apopka, Florida is once such company that takes pride in their products, and has catered to professional musicians such as Link Park, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi (and plenty more) for over 25 years.

Introduced this year during CES, JH Audio unveiled their Freqphase Time|Phase Waveguide technology on their high-end JH13Pro and JH16Pro IEMs. In short, the technology allows all frequencies to be delivered to your ear in just 0.01 milliseconds. When you’re dealing with multi-driver IEMs that have drivers with varying lengths from your ear canal, syncing up all the frequencies in play can be an issue, as sound not in sync can cause unwanted audio anomalies.

For 2013, JH Audio is implementing their new Freqphase technology in their top of the line six and eight driver IEMs, the JH13 Pro and JH16 Pro. The JH13 Pro features dual low, mid and high frequency drivers while the JH16 Pro ups the ante with dual high and mid range drivers as well as quad low frequency drivers. Combined with Freqphase technology, JH Audio hopes to provide the the absolute best, purest audio delivered through a pair of IEMs.
