(Before It's News)

World’s biggest aircraft manufacturer Airbus has decided not to use lithium-ion batteries in its flagship plane A350, an American newspaper reports. This decision has been taken to make the jet commercially available by June next year. Airbus has said even though lithium-ion batteries will be used during tests, the planes will be shipped with conventional nickel-cadmium batteries. A350 is already behind schedule.

The company says it’s less safe to use lithium-ion batteries if it has deliver on time. The European manufacturer is reluctant to delay again. Therefore this decision. Anyway Airbus is still performing better than its American counterpart, Boeing. Boeing is struggling to find fault with its latest air plane, the Boeing 787.
