Apple has filed a patent to improve the quality of smartphone pictures with an innovative method. In a new patent uncovered by AppleInsider, the Cupertino company describes a new camera implementation that starts capturing images as soon as the user launches the camera app and then, when the user hits the shutter, automatically selects the best one.
Apple’s patent for an “Image capturing device having continuous image capture” was filed in October 2012. The idea behind this system is to improve the quality of iPhone, iPod and iPad pictures by basically giving the phone the choice of the best picture available.
