BBC Sport app now available on Android phones and has support for 7-inch tablets
For those who are users of the iOS version, BBC’s new sports app for Android may seem to be no big deal. Nevertheless it does still feature a lot of sports news, particularly UK’s national sport, football. It also features a new section containing fixtures, results and updates of live scores for each competition and league. To top all this there is also live text commentaries on major sports events, along with both clips and video streaming.
The app is fully compatible with Android devices running version 2.2 or above and while BBC has ensured that it works on the recent set of 7-inch tablets, it doesn’t (at the moment) support larger sizes. World Cup fans can still hope that this will be remedied by the time the big event takes place. There is still enough time.
