Even Sony Isn’t Sure What the PlayStation 4 Will Look Like

The reason Sony didn’t show the exterior of the next-generation PlayStation 4 console at Wednesday’s presentation was because the console hasn’t been completed yet, according to Sony’s worldwide studio president Shuhei Yoshida.
“The console hardware isn’t finished, but we thought this was a really good time to show our games,” Yoshida said in a roundtable discussion with journalists Thursday morning.
Yoshida says he understood consumers were frustrated by the absence of the new console at Wednesday’s reveal, but said Sony had specific plans for its next move.
