Globe launches GoSAKTO, lets prepaid subs create their own promo
For a prepaid subscriber like most of us, it always seems to be a burden remembering promo codes just to maximize your allotted daily or weekly budget. Sometimes, these promos don’t even fit the bill.
A couple of days ago, Globe introduced GoSAKTO, another innovation for their prepaid patrons. GoSAKTO allows Globe prepaid subscribers to actually tailor-fit their own promo according to their budget and lifestyle.
With GoSAKTO, you simply mix and match Globe’s services, choose the validity and name it your way! You can do this via phone, via Globe’s website or via Facebook and the validity may be 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, or 30 days. It may look all complicated to you, but it’s surprisingly easy to do. GoSAKTO has over 2,000 possible combinations so the chances of finding the most suitable promo for your needs are pretty high.
Via Phone
Simply dial *143# and follow the USSD code that will prompt on your phone. When you have successfully created your own promo, you will receive a confirmation text from Globe.
Via Globe’s Website
Go to this URL (www.globe.com.ph/gosakto) and click on the Create Your Prepaid Promo Nowbutton. For new users, you will need to sign up on the website, either via email (Yahoo! Mail/Gmail) or your Facebook account. For existing users, sign in and select GoSAKTO from the Promos list under the Prepaid tab.
Via Facebook
Globe makes GoSAKTO easier for users by creating a Facebook app that lets you share your personalized promo to all your Facebook friends so they can register to the same promo and create a community of GoSAKTO users online. Before you can access the app, you will need to enter a verification code that will be sent to your phone for security purposes.
You will be asked to choose from the type and number of texts, calls, and surf or even a combination of all three.
Let’s say, you love texting your friends across all networks, but not so hot on making calls. You like surfing to get the latest news from your FB or Twitter account too. You realize, however, that next week you have several client meetings and will need more calls than texting. With GoSAKTO, you may choose to have unlimited texting to all networks for this week, and change to unlimited calls for next week. Plus, you can name these promos (i.e. TEXTTETEL and CALLTETEL) and share it with others.
This service does not only empower prepaid users but also gives them more value for their money. It spares them from promo availment barriers such as maintaining balances, capping and limited price points. GoSAKTO promos can be as low as P7.00 and may co-exist with another promo – simply put, you have the complete control.
