(Before It's News)

Life is packed full of fleeting moments. You take pictures to remember them, down to every little detail, but sometimes those important moments get ruined by bad pictures. Learn how to capture important moments with your Android, and take much better pictures.

Camera Quality

Many purists think that Android cameras are low quality, and would rather stick to big, expensive digital cameras instead. But if you compare well-taken cell camera pictures with photos taken with those fancy machines, you may not notice any difference. Android cameras on Tmobile’s inexpensive cell phones can be very high-quality, and take great shots. If you master a few tricks, you can take really great-looking photos, too.

Capture Moments Better

Any camera is only as good as the person taking the pictures. You can make even fleeting moments look fantastic if you keep a few important photographic tips in mind. Don’t just point and click. Take a few extra moments, and all your important moments will end up looking much, much better.

  • Get close: Android cameras may have low resolution, which makes your subject look smaller. That’s why you need to get close to your subject to capture all the important details.
  • Lighting: Poor lighting makes for poor shots. Take photos outside when possible, and turn on extra lights in dim rooms. Don’t rely upon a camera flash alone to light up your subject.
  • Avoid direct sunlight: Lighting is good, but too much lighting can make your photos appear washed out. Look for brightly lit shade, and avoid taking photographs of people when the sun is directly pointed at their faces.
  • Breathe: Take one deep, steadying breath before you push the button and take a picture. Your hands need to be steady or you won’t take a good picture. A slow, deep breath will steady you and prevent the slight tremors that make images blurry. If you have trouble staying steady, try placing your elbows on a solid surface while you’re taking photos.
  • Take lots of shots: You’ve got a better chance of getting a great photo if you take a lot of shots. You can always erase the ones you don’t want to keep later. Try different angles and perspectives to see what works best.
  • Clean the lens: If the lens has even a tiny speck of dust on it, the entire picture may be ruined. Keep your lens clean at all times to get clearer shots.
  • Wait: Don’t go through your pictures and delete them on your phone. Take a look at them on your computer before you make any decisions, because photos will look different on the computer and may be better than you think.
