Mudit Khosla Gets Appointed As The New CEO of Tradus
The ibiboGroup has announced that Mudit Khosla will be the new CEO of Tradus.com. Tradus is a player in the Indian e-commerce space. It operates a marketplace model for merchants and sellers which is similar to the way eBay India, Snapdeal and Junglee are run. The marketplace model is set to get another important player – Flipkart. The company announced its intention to start a marketplace recently and is signing up merchants. No dates have been given as to when they will launch the service. This appointment by the ibiboGroup seems to be a reactive measure to this development although the correlation is currently speculative.
Mudit Khosla comes over from Seventymm.com, an e-commerce company which sought to sell physical movie rentals via an online medium. Currently, the company has diversified into mobiles, tablets, electronics, apparel etc. Mudit stepped down as the CEO of SeventyMM after a 3 year stint. He has spent a total of 10 years in the e-commerce segment (Times Internet, Indiatimes) and has seen it grow from a non-entity to a large market.
Mudit spoke about his new appointment saying,
“E-commerce industry has undergone a tremendous transformation over the past few years, and is uniquely poised for growth over the next decade. As a leading online marketplace, Tradus has amazing opportunities to tap this potential and I look forward to being a part of this growth story.”
